1. Bucks, Drummond (10-1)
After a one season hiatus, I’m back and hopefully back to title contender status with one of my favorite team’s to date. Most of my games have come down to just one or two possessions, so take my record with a grain of salt, but the wins over fellow contenders speak for themselves.
2. Lakers, Kobe (6-1)
With his one loss being one of my best games with him, it was hard to not give Kobe the #1 spot here (or was it?) My favorite to come out of the West with a very balanced team with superb shooting, the weak comp he’s played thus far was the only thing that held his at #2.
3. Clippers, TNT (7-2)
RIP the TNT Bulls, but putting the league’s biggest rivalry on the Clippers and Lakers is a fun matchup. Similiar to the Heat, TNT is sporting a one-man show, and while his skill should keep him afloat, I feel like he’ll need to balance his roster out to make a deep run again.
4. Pacers, WhiteGhost (5-0)
Easily the league’s biggest surprise thus far, Ghost is the only team in the league still undefeated (with more than 1 GP @Ocho) with a solid inside-outside duo of Middleton and Drummond. I’d be surprised if this success continues, but ya never know.
5. Magic, JSmoove (4-1)
Good to see JSmoove back on his game. After struggling for what felt like a couple season, he’s had a dominant season other than what looks like a bloop blowout at the hands of yours truly.
6. Raptors, Duya (7-2)
The risky move of Bron has worked out for Duya, as his MLBA Raptors have only a couple close losses to their name. With one of the league’s more balanced rosters, Duya should make a deep playoff run.
7. Nets, Mario (10-3)
Another contender with arguably the league’s best Big 3 in DLo, Kristaps and a reenergized Dwight, Mario has come out on the winning side of most of his games against fellow playoff teams. Doing that through the rest of the season and playoffs will be key.
8. Hornets, TheTruth (6-3)
One of my surprise teams this season, TheTruth has come alive since his switch to the Hornets, and was able to trade for Kawhi Leonard after boosting Dipo’s value with his tremendous play.
9. Timberwolves, Toogoode (5-2)
You never know what you’re going to get with Toogoode, sometimes he’ll look like a contender, other times he’ll miss the playoffs. This season looks to me the former, as he has been able to put games away with a number of close victories.
10. Pelicans, JBadwood (10-6)
Quite a few losses for a top-10 ranking, but JBadwood hasn’t been afraid of playing the top competition, and with that; losses will come naturally. He has big wins over.. well, the Rockets, which is the only reason he was ranked over Alpha here.
11. Rockets, Alpha (5-2)
With a solid young roster and one of the game’s most dominant players in AD, Alpha has to be in talks to make another run for the a title after winning it just a couple seasons ago.
12. Suns, Ocho (1-0)
Who better than the commish himself to be lagging in activity? Ocho has a nice win over the surprisingly good Hornets, not bad for a guy who is currently battling for his first chip in S13.
13.. Celtics, Sneddy (7-4)
Always a powerhouse in the East, this season is no different, as Sneddy has one of his best teams to date. With the East slightly weakened, I wouldn’t be surprised if he made another Finals run.
14. Hawks, Zay (4-4)
Zay gave me my only loss of the season so far, also grabbing a victory over the Nets. However, with losses to multiple playoff teams, I’m still expecting a first round out, at best.
15. Bulls, Radiggy (5-4)
Radiggy is finally back with the Bulls, and while his record is solid thus far, I’m not expecting it to last after seeing the competition he’s played thus far, but best of luck to an MLBA vet.
16. Spurs, Thard (4-5)
I have one good reason for Thard’s slight success this season, with most of his losses coming to great teams: Ben Simmons at point guard, it’s OP. I know it, you know it, he knows it, but that’s the NBA for ya.
17. Pistons, Kilenc (3-3)
The last few seasons of Mr2K taking Kilenc under his wing have paid off, as he has passed him in the power rankings for the first time. Average player with a solid team, a low-seed playoff contender in my book.
18. Heat, Mr2K (3-4)
Undoubtedly his lowest ranking to date, 2K has surprsingly struggled with his core of LeBron James and well... LeBron James. He seems pretty apathetic about the game at this point, but I’ll never count out 2K and his competitive nature.
19. Warriors, Braxy (1-1)
Another returnee, Braxy has a blowout loss and a victory over a bad team on his resúme this season, not too much to say on a player that usually struggles to make the postseason.
20. Nuggets, Chim (3-4)
Tight wins over playoff-bound Nets and Pelicans gave him the edge over the Knicks, and I’ve always considered Chim a damgerous opponent with an underated skillset and playbook, we’ll see what next week brings for him.
21. Knicks, JmanJones (3-4)
Another well-built team led by Russ, JMan is a newbie I haven’t had the chance to play just yet, but with his decent record as a new guy to MLBA, I think he’ll be just fine in the future.
22. Thunder, Shark (3-7)
Mini TNT has one of the better teams in the league and one of 2K’s more dominant players in Boogie, and I’m honestly shocked he has such a bad record especially after the tight contest I had with him.
23. Jazz, Ty (3-9)
Even with the adition of James Harden, Ty has struggled this season, likely due to his second best player being... De’Aaron Fox. He’s always been able to sneak in as a low playoff seed, so I’m not counting him out just yet.
24. Kings, Ras (4-11)
I feel like this is the most wins Ras has had in a long time, even with his questionable trades and rostering. He’s #TrustingTheProcess though, and that could be the key to his early seasons ”success”.
25. Sixers, Zerg (2-10)
After multiple seasons of making the playoffs purely off activity, Zerg is back at the top of the activity list, and bottom of the standings with his offense-based team. Marcus Smart and the corpse of Tyson Chandler are the only guys that know what defense is.
26. Grizzlies, Sasha (1-5)
Sasha’s return to MLBA has gone exactly as expected so far - badly. One win over Lew, and you can bet it’ll be awhile before we see prime Season 4 Sasha back in the playoffs.
27. Mavs, BigLew (1-10)
There was a few month hiatus from these rankings, but some things never change - including Lew being in the cellar. With his only win being a victory over Shyboy, there hasn’t much to call home about.
28. Blazers, Shyboy (0-9)
The move to the Western Conference hasn’t been kind to Shyboy, as he is the only owner without a victory. Nothing else needs to be said about this ranking...
